Additional Commercial Specifications and Safety Features on Strapped Chaise Lounges
- Our standard commercial chaise lounge is 14" high, 2" higher than average, making it much easier to get up and down.
- All aluminum headrest support on chaises with all stainless steel hardware on the headrest ratchets, where the headrest attaches to the frame and where the headrest support attaches to the headrest.
- The headrest support consists of ¼" teeth welded to a 7/8" round tube.
- All headrests include a special safety brace, which causes the aluminum "teeth" to default to the first position.
- Stainless steel ¼"-20 machine bolts with stainless lock nuts are used where the headrest joins the body. A ¾" aluminum spacer is used between the headrest and the body, which makes a ¾" safety space at this important pinch point. Stainless safety washers keep the spacer from drilling a hole in the frame with repeated use. This stainless steel hardware is much stronger than lightweight aluminum rivets that bend and break, and is longer lasting than steel rivets that rust.
- Chaises feature a vinyl laced back rail at the pinch point where the adjustment ratchets attach to the frame. The teeth are commercial grade ¼" thick cast aluminum, wider and not as sharp as average, with the metal-on-metal edge further softened by the vinyl lacing.
- Four ¾" side pins with an extra body brace between them provide maximum support at the greatest stress point on the chaise, where people sit on the side.
- Welded aluminum skid plates, ½" wide x ¼" thick x 10" long are standard on sled-base chaises. Four skids per chaise, ideal for unfinished concrete decks.
- Nylon skid plates, ¾" wide x ¾" thick x 3" long are also available on sled-base chaises. Eight skids per chaise, designed for painted or finished decks that may be scratched by aluminum skids. These nylon skid plates are long lasting, and are attached by 2 stainless steel screws. They are easily replaced by the consumer when needed, and will not scratch any deck, while protecting all of the drag points common to the sled-base design.
- Cutting, scratching, staining, fading, abuse, acts of nature, or normal wear and tear are not warranted. See full 5 Year Limited Commercial Factory Warranty for details.
